Ryan Smith
Head Prossional
Ryan has attended several high performance and elite golf coaching training camps hosted by Golf Australia to learn from some of the best coaches and trainers in the world. These coaches include the likes of Ryan Lumsden: 3d biomechanics; Mark Bull and Neil Matthews: England and wales national coaches; Noel Blundell: sports psychology; Stuartt Leong: Golf stats; Brook Salmon: trackman launch monitor training; Chris Smith: strength and conditioning coach, and; Dean Kinney: VIS & Golf Australia National Coach; and Khan Pullen: NSW HP Squad & State team coach. Ryan previously coached European Challenge Tour member Blake Windred and currently coaches NSW team member Jye Pickin. Ryan uses his high performance and elite coaching experience to help his players reach their full potential.
Janelle Smith
Head Professional
Janelle has been a professional golfer for over 13 years. Janelle spent her junior and amateur career in NSW and National Teams and Squads along with being a member of the NSW Institute of Sport for 6 years working with some of the most highly regarded coaches in the world. Janelle turned professional in 2003 and played ALPG events before commencing her PGA Traineeship at Morisset Country Club under the guidance of PGA National Board Member David Stretton. Janelle specialises in (but is not limited to) coaching ladies, having a female perspective of how a woman’s body functions and the natural movements in a golf swing to generate power and consistency. Janelle is very passionate about junior golf after spending 4 years working for JNJG and has a huge interest in the development of junior golf.

David Van Raalte
Assistant Professional
Dave turned Professional in 1991 and played full time for 12 years, he had 50 plus Professional Victories in pro ams on NSWPGA pro am circuit. He took an assistant professional role at Tallwoods Golf Club for 4 years and then Morisset Country Club for a further 13 years. Dave joined the team at Charlestown Golf Club in 2019. During Dave's time as a professional he has conducted mens and ladies clinics, junior clinics as well as individual lessons. He has taught players of all calibre from absolute beginners to other touring professionals. Dave enjoys seeing his pupils improve through his tuition and seeing them achieve their goals. Dave enjoys sharing his passion for Golf, the game of a lifetime.

Kris has over 20 years golf industry experience, having begun his career in 2000 as an assistant to Rick Maclean at Beresfield golf club. He went on to become pro shop owner and operations manager at Beresfield in 2006 before joining Ryan and Janelle at Charlestown in 2015. One of Kris’ passions is assisting in the development of junior golfers and caddying, having caddied for Charlestown juniors and now professionals Blake Windred and Brayden Petersen for the past 5 years. Highlights have included working with Blake at the US amatuer at Pebble Beach, along with European and Asian amatuer tournaments and the Australian Open in 2019. Kris is committed to providing a quality, professional level of service to all members and guests.
Andrew Dodt
Teaching Prossional
Andrew Dodt is an Australian Professional Golfer who competed on the European Tour for 8 years winning twice in that time including the 2010 Avantha Masters in India and the 2015 True Thailand Classic.
He currently plays on the Asian & PGA Tour of Australasia where he’s also had success winning the Queensland Open in 2014, Runner-Up at the Australian PGA Championship in 2016, and winning the Sarawak Championship in 2019 shooting 24under par.
